i don't know about intercoms, but for 2 way radio transmissions, a beep tone is inserted at the beginning and end of transmissions. the beginning is an alert tone to open squelch circuits in the relay paths so that the following voice message is ped. the end tone relieves the talker of having to say "i am done talking, over to you, i am now listening" at the end of each transmission. CBers some time use the tones, called "Roger Beep" in their lingo, but since their transmissions are not relayed, it is just a gimmick and not needed.

The idea of getting married makes me feel uncomfortable and I'm 31 years old. At my age I should be hearing my biological clock ticking and yet I don't like the idea of getting married. Maybe it's because I haven't met the right person, but I get a negative feeling at the idea of getting married. I think it might have something to do with the fact that my parents sheltered me so much growing up and my father insisted that as his daughter he would keep me "chaste" by sending me to all girl schools. The result was what always seems to happen to girls put in all girl schools- I slept with a ton of guys when I graduated to compensate for my sheltered childhood... and looking around at my peers they all seemed to do the same thing. Not to mention Modonna & Lindsey Lohan grew up in simular strict Catholic upbringings and they ended up ...not so chaste either. It is a good start to exercise, but also ask your doc if there is any sort of underlying factors to your pain. Honestly, (and not to scare you) I went to sick call with low back pain, and when they x-rayed it, they said that I had bi-lateral fractures on my L5 and it was pushed forward in relation to my spine, that and some discs were herniated and one ruptured and the other compressed. So, its in all sorts of ugly looking shape. I am not saying thats what is going on with you, but, after 2 years, I finally got tired of the pain, and asked for a shot that would be more effective, the epidural. Work with your doctor about finding a source and a treatment for the pain. Hopefully it wont require a shot, but, hopefully you will find a way out of it.

I have a 99' Ford Expedition, and recently my two front tires got hosed by potholes. Fortunately, I had one extra tire and the spare on the back, but my extra has about 50% tread and the spare is new, 100%. Their both on the front left/right for now until I can afford a newer one. Does this affect my mpg having different tread tires like this? (my two back tires are about the same 40-50% tread)

Hi! The SE Koa instrument is certainly an attractive piece, but having owned a number of Stratocasters over the years (my first was in 1962), I would opt for the U.S.-made Highway One. The only significant limitation I can see with the Highway One is the vintage-style bridge (incorrectly listed as 2-point in the ad), which if you do a lot of trem-dipping will not stay in tune as well as the modern two-point design. In regards to the electronics, the SE Koa's Seymour-Duncans are excellent pickups, but will be a bit noisy (hum, buzz, etc) with high-gain settings. The Highway One has a reverse-wound middle pickup, which will provide a hum-cancelling feature in the B-M and M-N switch settings. If you plan to play with any noticeable amount of overdrive, you will most likely end up changing the pickups with either choice of guitar. Hope some of this helps! Regards, Dana

Yesturday on a plane i had a little anxiety attack... yannow freaking out antsy tight chest and nausea. the next flight i was fine but my chest got a little tight. when i got home randomly my back hurt a lot when i tried to breathe. this lasted for a while. a few numb spots on small random parts of my body as well. that went away when i fell asleep. i soon woke up and found that it hurt intensely to breathe in my chest and upper back and neck. now there is a little pain left and it hurts to swallow. a little tightness when i breathe too. is it possibly dehydration? oh and on and off my chest felt weird like there was a lil pressure

Why would Thyroid Biopsy be inconclusive?

My wife noticed that area around her thyroid had slight bump. So she had ultrasound done but it was inconclusive. So she had thyroid biopsy done but that was also inconclusive. Doctor's office told her that not enough sample was taken to make a conclusive determination. So Doctor's office is recommending her to see a specialist. How can i get my kids back home?

Ill try to make this short but i am at my wits end. I have legal custody of my 2 minor children. We live in Florida. My kids go to New York each summer to visit their father. This year they asked if they could stay for the school year and after much agony i decided that they could. Since I have made this decision, their father has had the children staying with his mother. I talk to my kids several times a day every day. Their father and his girlfriend were arrested for putting someone else perscrption pills in my sons drink. There is an active chilf protective services case regarding this. I have asked my ex to simply put the kids on a plane and send them home. He refused. I have spoken with the child protective services and they are backlogged and still figuring out what they are going to do with this. I have called the police in NY and they said that there is nothing that they can do. I asked if I go to new york will they go with me to the fathers house to get the kds if i have the custody papers and they said no, so did the sheriffs department. They said that i would basically have to go to new york and go to family court and get an order requesting that he give me my children. What is the point of having custody? Cant my ex be charged with custodial interference? The only thing that I want at this point is to get my kids back home where they are safe and it seems at this point that even though I have custody there is nothing that I can do. Does anyone know how I can get my kids back without snatching them in the middle of the night and traumatizing them or without the expense of goingto new york and running around in circles there? any help would be appreciated. How can I sneak in and out of my second floor window?

I know, I know, use the door. I will when I can, but there are cirstances (such as my dad sleeping in the living room some nights) that would prevent this from being possible. There is a window in between the first and second floors that I could climb out of, but I'd really prefer to just go straight in and out of my bedroom window. I got a rock climbing rope, and tried climbing down that, but the shingles under my window got in the way and I got rope burn. I can ALMOST climb up/down using ledges, but there's about a 3-foot gap that I can't traverse (or haven't tried for fear of hurting myself; there's concrete below). hi im 15 years old and i wrestle. in the wrestling season i hitt my head semi hard on the matt then someones head and didnt feel any diffrent untill the next day and i kept wrestling 4 more matches because of the pressure of the coaches. then i couldnt take what i felt like, and its very hard to explain exactly what i felt. but then the hospital said i had a concussion and i was out for 3 weeks but went back in 2 weeks and hit my head again but i always felt the same feeling as when i first got the "concussion" then i went to a neurologist and they said i had post concussion syndrome.. and this thing has been lasting for at least 3 months. the syptoms i have are: i get headaches, bad ballance when my eyes are shut, and i dont feel like im in my own body any more almost like im out of my body, i usta feel like im not in reality anymore now i only feel that feeling a little, i feel like im in a dream too, like im in a movie or somthing, and i have been having very wierd thoughts ( like insane thoughts) and i know i would never do these thoughts but it scares me. please help me figure out what this problem is because i dont think this is post concussion. sorry its so long, just wanted to give you all the details.

New MacBook Pro not detecting my monitor..?

I just bought my macbook pro 13in 2.53GHz about a week ago with the minidisplay to dvi adapter. Today my dvi-d cable came in and I connected my monitor to the dvi cable, the cable to the adapter, and then the adapter to the MBP. Before plugging the dvi cable into the adapter, my monitor says no DVI signal (expected), when I plug the cable into the adapter, that message goes away and then it goes into power saver mode. When I plug the adapter into the MBP, nothing happens... The screen stays black. Going into system preferences and clicking "detect displays" also does nothing. I'm running OS X 10.5.8. I'm using the Apple DVI adapter and a Monster DVI-D cable. My monitor is a Megavision hyvision 22in and works fine via vga on my xbox. I tried resetting the pram, reconnecting cables, etc. The MBP IS connected to power so that is not the issue. I have no clue what to do now and I'm pretty upset frustrated... If anyone can help me it would be appreciated.

How long can a cellist reasonably sustain a tremelo?

Forgery question need a little help please?

I'm in TN and this allegedly happened.My boss said she needed a weeks worth of names and to start making it. I put some co-workers names down on a sheet of paper with that days date along with what shift they worked. The sheet of paper was for a we care we I.D for cigs and beer. why on earth would you willingly seek out a long distance relationship? they are a last resort for a couple who are forced to part because of work etc. im not sure how old you are but get out there! hang out with friends and expand your network. getting to know someone in person who lives in your area is a much better alternative as you can actually see the person and get to know them in every way shape and form. Is there a natural remedy to treat glaucoma rather than taking the medication prescribed?

I do not want to take the eye drops the Ophthalmologist prescribed. First of all it's too expensive. Even the co-pay is $100.00 a month. I can't afford it. You're right I did have that living room in the 70's. Can you paint? It's the cheapest way to make the biggest impact. Your pictures show this room flows into the dining room. Keep the love seat where it's at and move the couch to the biggest wall, opposite side and hang a big picture. It will open it up. If the wall in the dining room stops I'd make that my accent wall. An excellent question! As a moderator of 4 Yahoo groups I'm stumped. 2 of my groups have been around since 2001 and have a combined membership of over 7000 members worldwide. I can't figure out what to do to save all our files and links as well as the members themselves. I cannot imagine what the hell Yahoo is thinking that copying a Facebook model will be any improvement. Facebook is an entirely different animal and they're in no way interchangeable. Whenever Yahoo has made "improvements" nothing has actually been improved. The search in my largest group hasn't worked in months and I've reported it numerous times. I'm left to think they have no plans to fix it because they're committed to putting all their energies on the new changes. Worried about skin cancer...?

I know this is probably a bit hypochondriac sounding, but I was watching a youtube video about melanoma and I got really scared. I have light skin, hair and eyes, and tons of freckles and moles. The problem being, there are so many, and I wouldn't be able to tell if I got a new one. Lots of them are weird shapes, and some more than one colour. I have had quite a few bad burns in my life, and my grandma died of melanoma. There is also a weird spot under my arm that started off big and red and slowly got smaller and darker. Now its black. couldn't tell you how "bad" her eyes are, but I CAN recommend that for toddlers and very young children, you request "MIRAFLEX" gles. They are amazing- they have NO breakable parts or screws and will last as long as you need them to- simply have your optometrist change the lenses whenever the prescription changes. Google and check it out. My youngest grandson wore these for about 4 years until he turned 7 and finally got "regular" gles. I wish we still could use the Miraflex! Good Luck.

How do I add satin stitch around applique on kids jeans?

I've gotten pretty good at creating appliques surrounded by satin stitching on my sewing projects, but I've never embellished anything already made. I've seen some amazing appliqued kid's jeans on ebay and I'm ready to give it a try, but I can't imagine how I'll turn and pivot on the leg of jeans. Do I need to rip out a side seam in order to get the jeans moving freely under the machine? And if so, doesn't it show up when you sew them back together? Any suggestions would be appreciated! :)
