What Is The Name Of This Warm Alcoholic Drink?

A coworker brought it to the office Christmas party. She warmed it on a Bunsen burner. It was a luscious shade of pink and was sweet and creamy. It tasted like cherries. It went down warm and smooth, not hot and rough like a lot of alcoholic drinks. This was over 30 years ago and I can still taste it but I can't remember the name. Does anybody have an idea?
