Whats a good place to meet guys?

I live in “the Valley”, suburbs of LA, in this area people drive everywhere so its not like u can meet people on the streets, when we go to restaurants or shopping or wtvr its always either with friends or anytime people are alone we are on our cell phones or with the ipod on, most people are pretty snooty and not approachable. The only time I meet guys is at clubs or bars, which is fine if ur looking for a hookup for the night, but the guys on the Hollywood club scene are just mans! u know the whole designer clothes and sungles indoors type…. Any ideas on where to meet guys during the day, and not in a party situation?
